Aldergrave Est. 1974
Aldergrave

Continuity in complex environments.

For over fifty years, Aldergrave has supported organisations through periods in which ordinary procedure is insufficient.

What we do

Aldergrave provides structural continuity services to institutional clients across the public and private sectors. Our engagements are typically long-term, frequently confidential, and rarely described in detail by either party.

We do not advertise our client list. We do not publish case studies. Clients who require these things are generally not a good fit for our practice, and we tell them so early.

How we work

Our methodology has not materially changed since 1974. We have found that the problems clients bring to us have not materially changed either.

Engagements begin with a period of observation. Recommendations follow. Implementation is undertaken by our own personnel, without exception.

Practice areas

Continuity

Ensuring that what must continue, continues, through changes in personnel, ownership, mandate, or circumstance.

Reconciliation

Resolution of discrepancies between the record and the situation the record describes.

Records (Historic)

Custody and interpretation of materials whose originating department no longer exists.

Working here

We hire infrequently and we hire carefully. Our selection process is longer than is conventional and we make no apology for this — the work is difficult to describe in advance and we have found that describing it in advance does not help.

Most of our personnel have been with us more than a decade. A number joined us without fully understanding what the role would involve, and have told us since that they would not have understood it any better had we explained.
